Ghana’s senior national team, the Black Stars, have officially opened their training camp in Vienna, with 14 players reporting on the first day of preparations ahead of their upcoming international assignment.

Captain Jordan Ayew was among the early arrivals, leading a group that blended experience with emerging talent. Also present were Benjamin Asare, Patric Pfeiffer, Ibrahim Sulemana, Prince Kwabena Adu, Jonas Adjetey, Daniel Agyei, Derrick Kohn, Marvin Senaya, Gideon Mensah, Elisha Owusu, Kwasi Sibo, Jerome Opoku, and Joseph Tetteh Anang.

The initial group is expected to be strengthened with the arrival of additional players on Monday, as the team prepares for its first full training session in the Austrian capital. The camp signals the start of an intensive build-up period for the four-time African champions.

Ghana will take on Austria in an international friendly on Friday, March 27, 2026. The match forms a key part of preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, which will be hosted across Mexico, Canada, and the United States in June.
