Shatta Wale’s manager, Sammy Flex, has addressed the artiste’s frequent clashes with certain media personalities.

According to him, the dancehall musician’s reactions are often fuelled by insults from these media personalities.

Speaking in an interview on Onua TV, Sammy Flex explained that Shatta Wale, known for his outspoken nature, is unbothered by public discussions about him but takes issue with the tone and the disrespect it comes with.

Sammy Flex cited an example during the 2024 All-African Games tournament in Accra, where a pundit described Shatta Wale’s performance as resembling that of a “lost puppy.”

“That was not a review or critique, that was an insult to him. And he will reply. If it was a critique about timing or costume. That would have been ok, but when you say he was behaving like a lost puppy, he will clap back when he has the time,” he stated.

He also dismissed the notion that Shatta Wale has problems with the media, stating that the artiste’s issues are with just a few individuals within the media space.

“His problem is not with the media in general, he has no problems with the media, but with certain people within the media space. Even the people he’s had problems with are not up to five,” he added.
