Award-winning gospel singer Joyce Blessing has expressed her openness to finding love again and remarrying, nearly five years after her highly publicised and acrimonious divorce from her former husband and manager, Dave Joy.
In a recent interview with Andy Dosty, the musician, known in private life as Joyce Akosua Twene, stated her desire to walk down the aisle once more, citing her still youthful age as a key factor in her decision.
Joyce Blessing’s previous marriage to Dave Joy ended in a bitter public spat that dominated entertainment headlines.
Their separation was marred by allegations of infidelity from both sides, and DNA test controversies further fueled the intense media scrutiny surrounding their broken relationship.
The divorce resulted in significant personal and professional setbacks for the “Victory” hitmaker, who shares three children with Joy. She notably lost control of her official Instagram and YouTube accounts to her ex-husband.
Despite these challenges, Joyce Blessing remains optimistic about the prospect of love and marriage in the future. However, she emphasized her intention to approach any new relationship with caution and wisdom, determined to avoid repeating past mistakes.
“I’ve learned a lot from my past experiences, and I’m in no rush. Marriage is beautiful, and I want to ensure my next step is guided by wisdom and God’s direction,” she shared with host Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.
When questioned about her current dating life, the gospel singer indicated that she was not yet ready to publicly discuss that aspect of her personal life, deeming it private.
Nevertheless, she acknowledged that, like any attractive single woman, she receives considerable romantic interest from men.
“I’m not ready to talk about that one [my dating life] for now, but I get a lot of proposals from men. If you are a woman and you do not get men approaching you to propose to you, then there may be a problem,”
Joyce Blessing stated, suggesting that she is indeed a desirable partner but is taking her time to find the right person.
