Benjamin Fordjour warned Christians against serving God through men Benjamin Fordjour warned Christians against serving God through men

Founder of Benjamin Fordjour Ministries, Pastor Benjamin Fordjour has warned Christians against serving God through men, instead of having their own realtionships with God.

In an interview on Hitz FM on September 26, 2025, the pastor described some Christians as ‘ignorant,’ stating that they are religious simply because of what they aim to get from God. Hence, their dependence on men.

“If your service to God is because of a man, you are serving a man but not God. We don’t serve God because of pastor. We serve God because there’s a need for us to do so.

“Here in Ghana, many Christians are very ignorant. Many Christians are into what they can get from God, but they’ve forgotten that the testimony is in your personal intimacy with the Father,” he said.

Responding to claims of many pastors being involved in wrongdoing, he pointed out that such cases are just few, he added that Ghanaians repeatedly vote for the same leaders despite widespread criticism.

“How many times have we spoken against leaders and presidents in this country? Yet, it’s still the same people we keep selecting. You see, there’s evil everywhere. There’s wrong everywhere,” he said.
