A delegation from the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, February 12, 2026, visited the Asante Kotoko playing body ahead of the Ghana Premier League Super Clash against rivals Accra Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors will on Sunday, February 15, host rivals Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the matchday 22 fixture in the ongoing 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season.

The Manhyia Palace delegation to the training grounds of Asante Kotoko was led by Chief of Staff Kofi Badu, Offinsomanhene Nana Dwamena Akenten II and Bantamahene Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI.

“Asante Kotoko SC welcomed a distinguished delegation of revered leaders from the Asante Kingdom this afternoon.”

“Led by the Chief of Staff of the Manhyia Palace, Mr. Kofi Badu, Offinsomanhene Nana Dwamena Akenten II, Bantamahene Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, and other traditional authorities, the visit aimed to motivate our warriors for the upcoming #SuperClash against Hearts of Oak on Sunday,” a statement from the club on X read.

The visit was intended to inspire the players ahead of one of the season’s most anticipated fixtures.

Kotoko have endured a difficult week, following a 3-1 defeat to Heart of Lions and a subsequent FA Cup exit after a 4-2 penalty shootout loss to Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium.
