Premier League champions Manchester City are reportedly preparing a bid of €80million for Ghanaian winger Mohammed Kudus.

According to sports news portal Fichajes, Pep Guardiola has identified Mohammed Kudus as one of the players who could help turn around City’s disastrous season.

The report states that Manchester City are convinced that their impending bid of €80million will be enough to convince West Ham to release one of their key players.

The report comes on the back of Kudus’ goal for West Ham in the Premier League against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The 24-year-old headed home the equalizer for West Ham, who managed to hold on and pick up a point at home.

Despite his performance, what grabbed the headlines was Kudus’ elephant-shaped stool, which he sat on after scoring the goal.

Instead of using the advertising panel or steward’s seat, Kudus sat on an elephant-shaped stool.

Disclosing the reason behind the new stool, Kudus said that he was paying homage to his country, as the stool is a feature of Ghanaian society.

The forward was also happy to have played a key role in West Ham’s draw, stating that the point is a valuable one for the struggling side.

“I am happy to score; it is very important to help the team. The stool is from Ghana. I brought it from there. A lot of people do it, so I brought it to show where I come from. The chiefs sit on a stool, so that is why I sat on it. It is also meant to showcase my country’s culture,” he said in his post-match interview.
