A man killed his partner by stabbing her 70 times in a ‘murderous attack’ before turning the knife on her daughter, a court has heard.

Alan Dore, 48, is accused of killing 52-year-old grandmother Samantha Turner at her home in Shepherd’s Bush, west London, on Tuesday, August 18.

He is also alleged to have stabbed Ms Turner’s 32-year-old daughter, Keeley Turner, as she tried to intervene.

On Monday, Dore – who was in a relationship with Ms Turner and lived nearby – appeared at the Old Bailey in London charged with murder and attempted murder.

Philip McGhee, prosecuting, said the allegations in the case involved a ‘murderous attack’ and a knife in a ‘domestic setting’.

The court heard how Keeley Turner was upstairs in the family home – located on Askew Road – when she heard her mother scream.

After going downstairs, she reportedly attempted to stop the defendant; however, was stabbed first in the abdomen and then her back.

Mr McGhee said she then called 999 at 8.19am to report her mother had been stabbed, saying: ‘Hurry up man, he’s going to kill her.’

Ms Turner was found lying in a pool of blood on her kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene at 8.54am.

Dore was arrested in a bedroom at the property.

A post-mortem examination of Ms Turner found approximately 70 sharp force injuries to her body, which were allegedly inflicted with ‘severe force’.

Keeley remains in hospital, however her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Dore appeared in court via video-link from Wandsworth Prison and only spoke to confirm his identity.

Judge Simon Mayo KC set a timetable for the case with a plea hearing on November 9 and a provisional three-week trial from May 17 next year.

Dore, also of Askew Road, was remanded into custody.
