A man is dead and a teenager remains missing after a boat crashed into rocks and capsized near a popular beach.

Multiple ambulances and police raced to the scene at Barrenjoey Headland near Palm Beach on Sydney‘s Northern Beaches about 11.30am on Wednesday.

Multiple emergency crews attended the scene, including a Toll helicopter.

‘I’ve now counted 29 emergency vehicles go past us in Palmy,’ one local wrote.

‘There have been at least 30 sirens heading past Avalon,’ another said.

‘Three helicopters at the beach,’ a third commented.

One person received CPR at the scene, the Manly Observer reported.

A NSW Ambulance spokesperson confirmed to Daily Mail that one patient was winched from the rocks but could not confirm their condition.
