A man has been charged with murder hours after another was found dead inside his unit south of Brisbane.
Police made the grim discovery after being called to the North Road complex in Woodridge at about 7.15am on Tuesday to conduct a welfare check.
Tony Cue, 65, was found unresponsive inside a unit suffering from visible injuries. He could not be revived.
Forensic officers spent the day removing evidence from the unit as homicide detectives launched an investigation into his death.
Following extensive inquiries, a man, 32 was arrested by police in nearby Beenleigh on Tuesday night.
He was charged with murder and will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Police inquiries continue.
News of Mr Cue’s death shocked neighbours, who last saw him on Monday watering his plants.
He had lived at the complex for more than 30 years and was described as a good neighbour, Nine News reported.
