    A man has been charged after improvised explosive devices were allegedly found at a property.

    The 30-year-old man was stopped and searched by police in Wagga Wagga, in the NSW Riverina region, at 8am on Thursday.

    Police allegedly seized a small quantity of cocaine and MDMA.

    He was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

    Police carried out a search warrant at a home before allegedly finding two improvised explosive devices.

    Ammunition, a slam gun (privately made firearm), BB pellets, cannabis seeds and two vials of testosterone were also allegedly discovered.

    The 30-year-old man was charged with 16 offences.

    He was charged with manufacture military-style weapon without a permit (two counts) and possess prohibited drug (four counts).

    Possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority (eight counts), possess unregistered firearm-not pistol/prohibited firearm, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) were the other charges.

    The 30-year-old man was refused bail after fronting court on Friday.

    He will appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court on October 21.
