Ghanaian socialite Afia Schwarzenegger

Ghanaian socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has fired back at critics accusing musician Kofi Mole of drug abuse.

She has urged the public to be more empathetic toward male artistes who, according to her, are struggling due to lack of sponsorship.

This comes after a recent video of Kofi Mole went viral on social media, with some netizens commenting negatively on his appearance, stating that it had “deteriorated” due to alleged drug use.

In response to this, Afia Schwarzenegger has argued that unlike their female counterparts, male musicians often lack financial backing and face intense challenges in the industry.

“You know I heard people saying Kofi Mole is doing drugs and I want to ask when was the last time Kofi gave us a hit song? Are you people sponsoring him because these male musicians suffer. If you are a celebrity and you don’t sleep with this politician you will suffer,” she said.

Drawing from her experience in the industry, Afia further alleged that some wealthy individuals exploit upcoming artistes under the guise of offering support.

“We have been in the industry for quite some time now and these rich people are fond of sleeping with these upcoming artistes. Some are even praying that the female musicians from wealthy families should lose their mothers so they can sleep with them all in the name of help,” she stated.

Afia emphasisd that the challenges faced by male artistes in Ghana are often overlooked, and harsh public criticism only makes it worse.

The boys are hungry and suffering. We have some people who call themselves a table of men and if you don’t succumb to their stupidity you would be hungry.

The entertainment industry in Ghana has collapsed. “If you are a male artiste you have to through the struggle 70 times what the female artistes are going through,” she added.
