Renowned Ghanaian prophet Telvin Sowah has cautioned Black Stars head coach Otto Addo to retain the current squad for the 2026 World Cup, which Ghana is on course to qualify for.
Ghana thrashed the Central African Republic 5-0, securing a significant win that places the nation in pole position to qualify for the tournament.
The Black Stars currently lead Group I with 22 points, followed by Madagascar with 19 points, while Mali and Comoros occupy third and fourth positions with 15 points each.

Ghana will face Comoros in their final group game at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12, 2025.
Speaking ahead of the match, Prophet Telvin stated that Ghana will surely qualify, but warned team officials against adding players who were not part of the qualification journey.
He emphasised that maintaining the current squad and technical staff will ensure exceptional performance and elevate Ghana’s global football reputation.
“Ghana will take over the World Cup, and the world will hear of us. They should not change or tamper with anything by inviting new players, they must maintain the squad. The coach should not act ‘too known’ and force other players into the team.
“And once the time reach I can assure you I’ll be able to predict the scoreline of the first match. If possible, they should keep the coach and not change anything, because this path has brought success,” he said in Twi during an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM.
