NDC Flagbearer John Mahama has accused the NPP of collapsing the economy

Former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, has condemned President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s neglect of parts of the Central Region over petty partisan politics.

He says he is hurt that the cherished communities in the Central Region are grappling with the neglect of crucial development projects vital for their growth and well-being.

John Dramani Mahama could not fathom why the government would ignore its people and their fair share of the national cake.

Making this known in a post shared via social media he said “After touring fourteen (14) constituencies in the Central Region so far, I cannot help but join the chiefs and people in condemning the neglect of our communities for petty partisan political reasons, as President Akufo-Addo himself has stated.

It pains me to see our cherished communities grappling with the neglect of crucial development projects vital for their growth and well-being.

The words uttered by the chiefs in Ekumfi, Brakwa, and Ajumako Besease on Saturday echoed the frustrations of many—young people, families and households—who deserve better infrastructure, healthcare, education, and opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

How does a government ignore the needs of the people it governs, seemingly punishing communities for their democratic choices in voting for the NDC and electing its parliamentary candidates?

This is not just a political issue but a matter of justice and accountability. Every citizen, regardless of their political allegiance, deserves to have their voices heard and their needs addressed.

As I have done before when I was president and will lead this country to achieve again, development shall be a right for all, not a privilege for a few. The NDC administration of John Mahama and Naana Jane will ensure the progress of our communities and meet your needs, and I promise that no community will be left behind.
