Madonna was the victim of crime following her surprise appearance on the mainstage of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California last Friday.

At some point after the 67-year-old Queen of Pop performed three of her songs – Vogue, Like A Prayer and a new unknown song – with headliner Sabrina Carpenter, costumes from her personal archives were stolen by an unknown thief.

‘I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing,’ Madonna – who boasts 56.2 million social media followers – wrote via Instagram story on Monday.

‘Jacket, corset, dress and all other garments. These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history. Other archival items from the same era went missing as well.’

The Material Girl added: ‘I’m hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out to my team at infomaverick2026@gmail.com. I’m offering a reward for their safe return. Thank you with all my heart.’

Indeed, Madonna was clearly re-wearing the purple leather Gucci bomber jacket and matching knee-high boots she donned at the 2005 MTV European Music Awards.

It’s hard to believe no one in the seven-time Grammy winner’s sizable glam squad – stylist Rita Melssen, hairstylist Matt Benns, make-up artist Marcelo Gutierrez and three fashion assistants – couldn’t keep an eye on her costumes backstage.

Otherwise, Madonna loved staging her ‘full-circle moment’ that harkened back to her 2006 Coachella performance in the Sahara Tent to promote her 10th studio album Confessions on a Dance Floor.

‘Still flying high since Friday night at Coachella!’ the two-time Golden Globe winner gushed.

‘Thank you to Sabrina and everyone who made it possible. Bringing Confessions II back to where it began was such a thrill! A moment in history, I will never forget! I feel so free!’

The feeling was mutual for the 26-year-old Grammy winner, who thanked her Michigan-born mentor on Saturday for ‘coming out, bringing your love and gracing the audience with everything you are plus astrology knowledge plus the greatest songs of all time.’

‘Last night was straight out of a dream. Spending so much time laughing with you and then above all sharing the stage with you is a privilege I’ll never forget,’ Carpenter concluded.

Madonna is set to release Confessions On A Dance Floor: Part II on July 3.

On May 2, the twice-divorced mother-of-six will celebrate the 30th birthday of her toyboy Akeem Morris, who accompanied her to see DJ Anyma (born Matteo Milleri) play the popular desert music festival.
