Ghanaian rapper, M.anifest has thrown shades at the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensah over her response regarding the provision of a summary of the certified voters register.

It could be recalled that following the unveiling of the certified voters register on November 6, 2024, the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) requested for more detailed data to enhance transparency in the upcoming December 7 elections.

The EC, led by Jean Mensa, clarified that it is not legally obligated to provide a summary or additional statistics with the certified voters register.

Reacting to this, M.anifest, in a post on X on November 7, 2024, commented that the chairperson’s explanation was unnecessarily prolonged and accused her of being hot-headed.

“She really could have summarized her response in 3 or 4 sentences. But indignation nti she became a loop station for 3 to 4 mins,” he said.

His comments come as many citizens and political stakeholders have expressed their concerns over the activities of the Electoral Commission as the country heads to the polls on December 7, 2024.
