Sports Journalist Listowel Mensah Daniel has furiously rebuked National Sports Authority boss Yaw Ampofo Ankrah over the deplorable state of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium pitch.

A video surfaced on the internet showing a firefighter irrigating the brownish-looking Baba Yara pitch, which had a large water hole.

Reacting to the video, Listowel expressed deep disappointment, saying, “I feel embarrassed. I’m highly disappointed. How could we allow this to happen?”

“We shouldn’t disgrace President Mahama like this. We spoke against former NSA boss Professor Peter Twumasi over some of these archaic ways of managing our pitches. After seven months of interviews and no real action, there’s a problem. He should sit up or face the same fierce criticism that his predecessor faced — that I can assure him,” he stated on Angel 102.9 FM.
