Lilwin has voiced his disappointment with Ghanaian media houses for what he describes as a lack of support and coverage for his new movie, “Captain Ibrahim Traoré: The Last African Hero.”

The actor expressed his concerns in a video where he stood beside his customized 2024 GH¢1.2 million RAM 1500 truck adorned with movie stickers.

Lil Win’s frustration stems from the media’s apparent silence following the movie’s second premiere in Sunyani at the Eusbett Hotel Cinema on August 16, 2025.

He claims that despite his efforts to check various entertainment-focused television channels between August 22 and 24, 2025, none of them were discussing his film.

This lack of promotion comes as a huge blow to the actor, who feels the media is ignoring a significant achievement in the Ghanaian film industry.

Lil Win highlighted that his movie has received international recognition, including multiple nominations abroad.

This is not the first time the film has received international praise; it has also been reported that the Burkina Faso Ambassador to Ghana honored Lil Win as the “Best Actor in Africa” during the movie’s premiere in Kumasi.

The film, which chronicles the life of Burkina Faso’s revolutionary leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has been praised for its Pan-African theme and cultural significance.

Lil Win feels that these achievements should be celebrated by Ghanaian media, but they are instead being overlooked.
