Kumawood actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has expressed his frustration over the rising cost of local air travel in Ghana, urging the government to intervene and address the issue.

In a video shared on his Instagram account, the actor made a passionate appeal to President John Dramani Mahama, asking him to engage domestic airlines to reduce the cost of tickets for local flights.

“My beloved, I will plead with the Ghanaian leaders, the plane tickets are expensive,” Lil Win lamented.

He disclosed that he recently paid GH¢2,500 for a one-way ticket on Passion Air, and another GH¢2,500 for his return trip — spending a total of GH¢5,000 on a flight that lasted only an hour.

According to him, the most frustrating part of the experience is the mismatch between the hefty fares and the short duration of the flights.

In the caption accompanying his video, the award-winning actor reiterated that the fares were simply “too much” and called for urgent action to make domestic air travel more affordable for Ghanaians.

His comments have since sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users echoing his concerns, while others argued that flight costs are determined by broader economic factors beyond government control.
