Ghanaian afro-pop/afrobeats singer Safa

After pathing ways with record label, Black Avenue Muzik in mid-2024, Ghanaian musician Sefadzi Abena Amesu, popularly known as Sefa, has expressed how positive she is to work harder in the year 2025.

In an excusive interview with GhanaWeb journalist Joseph Henry Mensah, Sefa noted that her career would not come to an end despite parting ways with her former record label.

The “E Choke” hitmaker explained that despite the fact that 2024 has been a challenging year, she has, however, grown positively.

“2024 for me has been challenging and very thoughtful, I have learned a lot of things. But at the end of the day, it has taught me to grow, believe in myself, and work harder… I always say that leaving a record label doesn’t mean your career is done. Because you are the artiste and you are the talent and anywhere there is a talent and there are a lot of people who understand the art, with God all things are possible. So in 2025, I am praying God continues to bless us,” she said.

The singer noted that parting ways with her record label in 2024 is one of the difficult things the year has taught her.

“I parted ways with my record label so now I am an independent artiste and everybody knows in Ghana that to leave a label and be an independent artiste is not easy but that is one lesson 2024 has taught me,” she said.

In 2017, she was signed by Black Avenue Muzik and won the Afrobeats Song of the Year award during the 2022 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards with her song titled ‘E Choke.’
