The family of the late Nana Ama Amissah III, Paramount Queen Mother of the Mankessim Traditional Area and a member of the Governing Board of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), has announced that her 40-day commemoration will be held on September 12, 2026.
The family made the announcement on Wednesday, August 12, when they paid a visit to the Board and Management of GoldBod following the Queen Mother’s passing. The visit provided an opportunity for the family to formally inform the organisation of the date for the commemoration and engage with management.
The Board Chairman, Kojo Fynn, expressed the organisation’s heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the late Queen Mother, describing her as a kind, dedicated and remarkable woman whose service and contributions to GoldBod were deeply valued.
The Chief Executive Officer of GoldBod, Sammy Gyamfi, also expressed his condolences to the family, describing the Queen Mother’s passing as a profound loss to both the organisation and the nation.
Mr Gyamfi assured the family of GoldBod’s continued support during the difficult period and commended the late Nana Ama Amissah III for her service and contributions.
