Hajia Amina Adams has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary in the Ayawaso East Constituency, according to a new poll by Global Info Analytics, which shows her holding a commanding lead over her closest rivals.

According to data released by Global Info Analytics ahead of the primaries shows that she commands 58 per cent of voter preference among delegates and party supporters surveyed, placing her as the favourite to secure the party’s ticket in the usually competitive constituency.
The survey findings, presented by Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, on February 5, 2026, indicate a huge gap between Hajia Amina Adams and the other contenders in the race.

The figures point to what appears to be a two-horse contest, with Hajia Amina Adams and Ghana’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Baba Jamal, together accounting for 90 per cent of stated voter preference.
Political observers say her strong performance reflects broad grassroots support, active engagement within the constituency, sympathy votes, and growing confidence among party faithful in her ability to either reclaim or retain the seat for the NDC in the 2024 general elections.
Her 26-point advantage over Baba Jamal is regarded as notable, especially at this stage of the primary process, though analysts caution that last-minute changes and turnout patterns could still affect the final outcome.
Although he trails, Baba Jamal’s 32 per cent support signals a solid backing, underscoring his longstanding political experience and visibility in the constituency and within the party nationally.
Analysts add that his fortunes in the primaries will hinge largely on effective delegate mobilisation, turnout on voting day, and his campaign’s ability to win over undecided voters.
The other aspirants, Muhammed Ramne, Dr Yakubu Azindow and Najib Muhammed Sani, together make up the remaining 10 per cent of voter preference.
