Kumasi Asante Kotoko defeated Accra Hearts of Oak 1-0 in a tense Premier League encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on December 15, 2024.
The match was decided by a last-minute goal from Kotoko’s Albert Amoah, who pounced on a miscommunication between Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and defender Kelvin Osei.
Amoah was quick to seize the opportunity, tapping the ball into the empty net to hand Kotoko all three points.
Despite creating several chances throughout the match, Hearts of Oak was unable to convert, and the costly error in the closing stages ultimately sealed their fate.
