Ghanaian artiste Lasmid has revealed one thing he has regretted doing in the music industry.

During an interview with Bryt TV, the young artiste stated that his deeply respectful nature has worked against him in the music industry. He said the trait he once considered a strength has often left him exposed to unfair treatment.

Lasmid explained that his habit of showing excessive respect has sometimes invited mockery and misuse from people he has dealt with along the way.

“I don’t know if I should say it or not, but being too respectful has made people take advantage of me,” he said.

The singer admitted that this reality has left him with regrets, as he believes his politeness was rarely matched by others. Over time, that imbalance forced him to rethink how he interacts with people professionally and personally.

“If I had it my way, I would not be that respectful. I wish people would reciprocate the same respect. For now, I respect people who respect me as well. At first, I respected people who failed to give me the same energy,” Lasmid posited.
