Lara Trump has revealed that when it comes to buying a Christmas present for Donald Trump, the family sticks to one gift they know he truly cherishes.

The president’s daughter-in-law told the New York Post that buying for the leader of the free world can prove tricky.

However, she shared that she has managed to find a fail safe which he enjoys each year in the form of framed family photos.

‘Every year he gets basically framed photos of us with him. But he likes them. And a lot of them go on the desk behind him in the Oval Office,’ Lara told the New York Post.

‘He already knows this is coming. This is the standard for him for Christmas and his birthday.’

Lara is married to Eric, the youngest child between Trump and Ivana’s three children

The mother-of-two admitted that despite the simplicity of the gift, finding something worthy of the president is still a yearly challenge.

‘I feel bad because as the president of the United States, he’s giving so much to us as a country, we want to be able to give something great back to him. The truth is, for all of us, we’re like, ‘What do we get him?”

When it comes to buying presents for Trump’s grandchildren, Lara suggested the task is largely handled by the first lady.

One holiday tradition the grandchildren especially enjoy is being allowed to dash into their grandfather’s office and help themselves to his candy stash.

Trump is known to keep his desk at Mar-a-Lago, often dubbed the ‘winter White House,’ stocked with sweets, including Starburst, fun-size Snickers and M&Ms.

On occasion, the treats are even more extravagant, with king-size candy bars making an appearance, much to the children’s delight.

The Trump family is expected to come together in full force for the holidays, with much of the extended clan attending Christmas Eve mass at Bethesda-by-the-Sea, the Episcopal church where Donald and Melania were married.

Lara said nearly the entire family plans to be in attendance, noting the growing number of children and grandchildren around the table, which she described as a welcome and festive sight.

The celebrations are set to extend well beyond immediate relatives.

Lara predicted that roughly 500 Mar-a-Lago members would also take part in the holiday festivities, with celebrity guests once again likely to stop by, as they have in years past.

At home, Lara and Eric, who were married at Mar-a-Lago in 2014 and now live nearby in Jupiter, Florida, embrace the holiday spirit with a Christmas tree decorated with a mix of sentimental and patriotic touches.

The tree features handmade ornaments their children have brought home from school over the years, alongside official White House ornaments gifted during Trump’s first term, some of which were personally sent by Donald and Melania.

Topping it all off is a distinctly Trump-style flourish. The couple traditionally crowns their tree with a MAGA hat, and this year, they took it a step further by placing two at the top.
