A business poster created by a lady from Ebonyi has gone viral for all the wrong reasons, as many social media users mistakenly believed it was an obituary announcement.

The confusion arose from the poster’s design, which closely resembled typical obituary notices, leading to a frenzy on social media.

The image was first shared on Facebook by a user known as Meme Plug General, who expressed disbelief at the confusing layout.

“Omor, I nearly type RIP ooo,” he wrote, indicating that he initially thought the poster was mourning the lady instead of promoting her business.

In reality, the poster was advertising a four-day business training event in Ebonyi.

However, its font, color scheme, and the placement of the lady’s picture mimicked that of a traditional obituary, leading to the mix-up.

As the post gained traction, social media users reacted with humor and criticism.

Many called out the designer for the misleading layout, suggesting that clearer design choices could have prevented the understanding.

Here are some reactions from netizens:

@Prince Kelly“I don call the number wey dey there tire. The mugu is not picking up. He would have heard from me. Nonsense.”

@Wisdom Aminayanasam“You people should be careful the way you create banners. it’s not a sad story that happened to her.”

@Agedebi omobi: What is this, ohhh my God, nawa ooo, he shoud be queried.

@Esther245: Sorry for the laugh, lmaoooo, oh wow!
