A woman who went to visit her future mother-in-law returned single after an incident.

According to her story, she had gone to visit her mother-in-law-to-be on a weekend. The mother had cooked a local meal which the lady couldn’t eat.

“Go to the kitchen and make something for yourself”, the mother then tells her.

The lady went into the kitchen, boiled noodles and picked two eggs to fry. The mother gets alarmed and shouted,

    “Two eggs for one Indomie?

is that how you eat in your father’s house?

We don’t waste food like that here! Things are expensive!”

She angrily removes one egg. The lady then quietly trashed the food and left.

She tells her boyfriend that she can’t marry into a family that counts eggs like that. He tells her that his mum was only trying to make her a good home manager.

The lady in her anger, then purchased 10 crates of eggs and sends it to his mother.

The boyfriend called and asked if she was trying to insult his mother.

The relationship ended after she replied with:

“She can call me if she needs more”

The story was shared on X by @kenkenlewu, and it has stirred reactions from people:

@a4lasade She set her standards. She held them. She didn’t fold even when love was on the table. That’s not stubbornness. That’s self-respect. Respect to her for protecting her worth. Sisterhood is proud.

@deveed1 Sending 10 crates of eggs is very wrong. That’s an insult. You can do it to the guy not his mother.
