    A lady has set the internet abuzz with a video she posted to TikTok, where she burnt all her cosmetic products to show her commitment to embracing her new life as a Christian.

    The video which has gone viral on the platform showed the lady, @noxiembele setting fire to all her beauty products, these included; wigs, make-up kits, eyelashes, and more.

    The reasoning the lady gave for her actions was that she had just given her life to Christ and had decided to embrace God’s natural beauty. To prove that she was serious about her decision, she got rid of all her beauty products which she had termed in the caption of the video, “ungodly possessions.”

    This decision will allow her to embrace her natural beauty. She backed up her actions with lengthy quotes from the bible’

    “Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They put their trust in God…” – 1 Peter 3:3–6.

    Along with Ephesians 2:8–10;

    “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

    When questioned about why she chose to go this far, the lady referenced 1 John 2:15;

    “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.”

    The post has gained much traction online and has caused netizens to criticize her actions as extreme. Varying opinions were shared in the comment section of her video.
