Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu has talked about the possibility of private intimate videos finding their way onto social media. He said he continues to pray that he never becomes a victim of such a leak.
The actor made the remarks during an interview with Nikki Samonas on JoyPrime TV, amid renewed public attention surrounding the circulation of intimate videos online.
Kwaku Manu said his behaviour during intimate moments is particularly intense, making the thought of such private encounters being recorded and exposed especially concerning to him.
“I pray to God that my intimate videos never come online because, in bed, I am very aggressive,” he said with laughter.
The actor also weighed in on people whose intimate videos have been leaked, arguing that recording private sexual encounters in the first place creates an unnecessary risk.
According to him, intimate moments do not require cameras, although he admitted that people can sometimes lose their sense of judgment when they are deeply in love.
“With those who have theirs out, such intimate moments do not necessarily require you to set a camera to record. I don’t know how God created the female sexual organ; if you are not careful, you can even act like a child. But I don’t blame them too much. In life, if you fall in love, your brain does not sometimes reason through properly,” Kwaku Manu stated.
He suggested that strong emotions can sometimes overpower rational thinking, particularly in intimate relationships. The actor said the attraction and excitement involved can cause people to behave in ways they might otherwise reconsider.
Kwaku Manu, however, reserved his strongest criticism for people who deliberately use social media features while recording intimate encounters.
He specifically questioned the decision by some individuals to use Snapchat filters on such videos, saying he finds it difficult to understand why anyone would go to the extent of editing or beautifying footage that was supposed to remain private.
