Kwaisey Pee is a Ghanaian Highlife musician

Ghanaian Highlife musician Kwaisey Pee has given a detailed explanation of why he sued the organisers of the Ghana Music Awards Europe, following what he describes as a breach of contract.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on OKAY FM on November 2, 2025, Kwaisey Pee stated that the event organisers failed to honour their side of the agreement at the 11th hour of the awards show.

He explained that he only discovered they could not work with him three days before the event, after his management contacted them.

According to him, he believes the organisers deliberately used his image to promote the show.

I think music is the cheapest thing to do – Kwaisey Pee

“They reached out to me to perform during the awards night, and we all came to an agreement. When the time was almost due, I wasn’t hearing from them regarding plane tickets, advance payment, and accommodation.

“…so my management reached out to them three days before the event, and that was when they told us they couldn’t work with me anymore. Meanwhile, they were using my picture to promote the event,” he said.

Kwaisey Pee further stated that he is suing the organisers for using his image to promote the event, describing their behaviour as disrespectful to his brand.

He also noted that his management has given the Ghana Music Awards Europe organisers a 14-day ultimatum to respond to the suit, or they will take the necessary action.

“They didn’t even give me prior notice. Aside from that, they didn’t remove my picture from the promotional flyers on their platforms. It is very disrespectful and a deliberate attempt to use my image for their own gain.

“I have served them, and they have seen it. So we have given them the 14-day deadline. If they don’t respond, we will take the necessary action,” he added.
