Mother of musician Okomfour Kwadee has debunked reports suggesting that she has a hand in her son’s mental health challenges.

She says that the narrative is being pushed by Hammer Nti, who was taking care of the musician.

The woman explains that she had always wanted Kwadee to be handled by Lord Kenya, who went through a similar ordeal and came out successful.

However, Hammer Nti did not want to use that route due to his interest.

“I met Lord Kenya, and he told me that Kwadee was his friend. He asked if Kwadee went naked, and I said no. Then Lord Kenya told me that his father had suffered, and his wife had too. He told me that at one point, he wanted to beat his father.

“He said it was when he worked hard, but people were taking the money he got from the work. He assured me that my son would be fine and prayed for me. I told Hammer that I wanted Lord Kenya to handle my son, but he got angry, so I rescinded my decision and allowed him to do his work.

“I’ve never been against people helping my son. I can never do that, and that narrative should not be made to fester. If we had given him to Lord Kenya and my son had regained his sanity and become like Lord Kenya, it would have been a good thing, but because of his personal interest, Hammer did not want that. They always say that his mother is behind his problems, but that is not the truth. I won’t do that to my son,” she said.
