Beeztrap KOTM who won the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) new artiste of the year has asserted that Kumasi is Ghana’s top musical talent hub.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Nana Romeo, the “Fly Girl” hitmaker firmly argued that Kumasi has produced more musical talents than any other city..

Although some have made arguments in support of Tema and Accra, Beeztrap insisted Kumasi is the number one den of musical talents.

He emphasized that Kumasi has always been in the epicenter of talent in Ghana’s music industry, from the previous generation of renowned musicians to the current crop of artists.

“If we take a deep look back in time, during Daddy Lumba’s time, it was Kumasi, Sarkodie’s time, and Okyeame Kwame’s time, it was Kumasi,” Beeztrap KOTM shared.

According to him, the trend remains same in the music industry today with Kumasi still topping especially with the rise of the Asakaa movement and several other artistes.

“Right now, the music is in Kumasi, and all the boys are in Kumasi. We have Oseikrom Sikani, Asakaa, King Paluta, Amerado, Strongman, and a whole lot of others,” he said.

Beeztrap added, “If we are been honest, Kumasi has produced more artistes than any other region,” he stated.
