The Member of Parliament for Manhyia South, Lawyer Nana Baffour Awuah, has described former President John Agyekum Kufuor as a sage and a fountain of wisdom from which Ghanaians continue to draw inspiration.

Speaking to the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) on July 17, 2025, Lawyer Baffour Awuah paid glowing tribute to the former President, highlighting his immense contribution to Ghana’s democratic journey and socio-economic development.

According to the Manhyia South MP, President Kufuor’s legacy remains unmatched, as his tenure laid a solid foundation for good governance, peace, and national cohesion.

He noted that generations continue to benefit from the vision and policies implemented during Kufuor’s administration.

“Kufuor is a sage, a fountain of wisdom which we drink from,” Lawyer Baffour Awuah stated, emphasizing that the former President’s humility and dedication to nation-building serve as a guiding light for both seasoned and upcoming leaders.

He called on Ghanaians, particularly the youth and political leaders, to emulate Kufuor’s values of integrity, tolerance, and selfless service to the nation. He stressed that the country needs such timeless principles to consolidate its democratic gains and promote sustainable development.

Lawyer Baffour Awuah also urged the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to continue to uphold the ideals of Ex-President Kufour.
