Coach Annor Walker has acknowledged the big challenge facing Mohammed Kudus at Tottenham Hotspur but is urging the Black Stars star to stay focused and prove himself on the biggest stage.

Walker, who has managed top Ghana Premier League sides like Great Olympics and Samartex, says Kudus’s move from West Ham United to Spurs comes with higher expectations and tougher competition.

As such, in an interview with Bryt FM, the veteran coach called on Kudus to prioritize hardwork and club success over his wages.

“Kudus faces a daunting challenge at Tottenham compared to his days at West Ham United. I will urge him to work extra hard and commit himself to succeeding at the club. It will be prudent for him to put monetary issues aside and make a name for himself at Tottenham. He should be thinking about laurels,” he said.

The 24-year-old became Tottenham’s fifth summer signing, and the first player to move directly from West Ham to Spurs since Scott Parker in 2011.

Kudus impressed at West Ham with 13 goals and nine assists in 65 Premier League appearances after joining from Ajax in 2023.
