Kudus has been benched in Spurs’ game against Bodo/Glimt

Ghanaian forward Kudus Mohammed will start from the bench as Tottenham take on Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt in their second Champions League group stage fixture.

The decision ends a run of eight consecutive starts for the 25-year-old since joining Spurs this summer.

Kudus had been a near ever-present under Thomas Frank, starting in eight of Tottenham’s nine competitive matches so far this season. The only previous game he missed was the EFL Cup tie against Doncaster, when he was not included in the matchday squad.

His omission from the starting line-up tonight suggests the manager may be rotating his squad.

Thomas Frank has opted to bring Brennan Johnson into the attack, flanked by Wilson Odobert on the opposite side, with Richarlison leading the line. In midfield, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr, and youngster Lucas Bergvall are tasked with controlling proceedings.

There is also a notable change in the middle of the park, as Joao Palhinha, instrumental since his arrival, joins Kudus on the bench, possibly being rested for upcoming domestic fixtures.

At the back, Spurs line up with Djed Spence, Kevin Danso, Micky van de Ven, and Pedro Porro, with Guglielmo Vicario in goal.

Tottenham began their group stage campaign with an impressive win over Villarreal, and Frank will be hoping his reshuffled side maintains momentum against a spirited Bodo/Glimt outfit.
