Former English footballer and manager Glenn Hoddle has urged Ghanaian attacker Mohammed Kudus to give consistent performances in order to excel at Tottenham Hotspurs.

According to him, Kudus plays brilliantly, especially in terms of dribbling past his opponents to win fouls and push the team forward.

However, he believes that sometimes the Black Stars forward holds onto the ball for too long, which may affect the effectiveness of his play in the future.

Speaking on TNT Sports after Tottenham Hotspur lost on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain, Hoddle advised Kudus to be quick in releasing the ball and to be consistent with his performance.

Why Kudus Mohammed and Nuno Mendes are trending After UEFA Super Cup

“He has such good talent, quick feet, and you see his qualities there. The added ingredient for him as a player is consistency. A lot of my West Ham fans, I’ve got quite a few, have said to me, ‘Thank you for taking him, Glenn.’ The first year, I thought he was excellent; the second year, they’re telling me he didn’t do so well. But he looks like he’s got a lot of potential, I’ve got to say.

“Sometimes I look at dribblers, and I like what they do. As a dribbler and a player, I look at whether they can dribble and play with their head up. That is the key for me. Can you also play with your head up? And that’s the next progression for me. And I think if he does, he could be a real asset for Tottenham,” he added.

Kudus and his Tottenham Hotspur teammates suffered a heartbreak night after missing out on lifting the 2025 UEFA Super Cup, following a 4-3 defeat to PSG on penalties following a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
