Karim Zito is the head coach of Asante Kotoko

The Interim Management Committee (IMC) of Asante Kotoko are set to hold a meeting to deliberate on head coach Karim Zito’s future following the club’s decline in performance.

The club has gone four matches without a win in the 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League, creating massive pressure on the entire technical team.

In response to the crisis, reports indicate that the Kotoko IMC, chaired by Nana Apinkrah Akwesi Awuah, has decided to convene a meeting to take decisive action aimed at restoring the club’s form.

The future of the former Black Satellites coach will be one of the main topics for discussion and could result in a warning to improve or possible dismissal if he is deemed responsible for the slump.

Since Kotoko appointed Karim Zito as head coach, he guided the club to an MTN FA Cup triumph and secured qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup, though they were later eliminated.

The Kumasi-based club will be hoping to bounce back in their next GPL game against Dreams FC on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered their first defeat of the season against Basake Holy Stars and went on to struggle in subsequent games, with their most recent loss coming against Hohoe United.

Following these defeats, Kotoko’s position on the league table has dropped to 5th, with 21 points after 13 matches in the first round of the league.
