Asante Kotoko SC have safely arrived in Durban, South Africa, ahead of their Toyota Cup clash with Kaizer Chiefs.

The two-time CAF Champions League winners departed Ghana on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at exactly 9:40 PM from the Kotoka International Airport and landed at the King Shaka International Airport in Durban at 7:40 AM local time on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors were warmly received by officials of Kaizer Chiefs upon arrival and are currently lodged at the Protea Hotel Fire and Ice. The team will rest for the day and is scheduled to begin full training on Thursday as preparations intensify for Saturday’s encounter at the iconic Moses Mabhida Stadium.

The Toyota Cup has become a prestigious fixture on the African football calendar, and this year’s edition promises a compelling contest between two of the continent’s most historic clubs.

Both Kotoko and Chiefs have a proud tradition and strong followings, and Saturday’s match is expected to be a showcase of talent, heritage, and passion.
