Ghanaian entertainment pundit and NPP communications team member, Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, has faced heavy backlash on social media over statements directed at a National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) officer.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, KOKA joined other NPP supporters at the NIB office in Kawukudi to demand the release of former NEIP CEO, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah.

During the confrontation, KOKA was captured in a heated exchange with an officer, saying: “Even the educated ones who work with their brains cry when they receive their salaries, how much more an NIB officer?”

The video subsequently went viral on X, sparking criticism online.

Netizens have described his comments as disrespectful and unwarranted, urging the NPP to distance itself from him or risk damaging its public image.

They also warned that such statements could hurt the party’s chances in future elections.
