Kojo Antwi has urged musicians to stay grounded as they rise in the industry, insisting that success should come with even greater humility.

The Ghanaian music legend, popularly known as Music Man, shared the advice during an appearance on Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Thursday, February 12, 2026, where he spoke about collaboration and attitude in music.

Kojo Antwi recounted a recent studio session with musician Mugees, explaining how the project came together through teamwork and openness.

“He gave me the beat. I was working on it, but at a certain point I felt, in my style, it would take forever. So I called him, ‘Young bro, come to my place,’” he said.

According to him, Mugees arrived with his crew, and they collectively reviewed the track, exchanged ideas, and worked until the song was completed.

Beyond the collaboration, Kojo Antwi stressed that humility is essential for longevity in music, noting that fame should never inflate a musician’s ego.

“In music, the higher you go, the lower your attitude must be. You must be humble,” he said.

He also referenced international icon Stevie Wonder as an example of how great artists relate with others, describing him as someone who embraces collaboration without trying to dominate.

“Steve Wonder comes here, and he plays with everyone… He will fit into what you do,” Kojo Antwi added.

The highlife veteran said the joy of music lies in sharing knowledge, learning from others, and creating without arrogance.
