During an interview with Mike 2 on Adom FM’s Entertainment Hall broadcast over the weekend, Kofi Akpaloo discussed his opinions about the Ghanaian music scene.
He expressed admiration for artistes across various genres in Ghana.
The Liberal Party of Ghana’s (LPG) presidential candidate, meantime, acknowledged his love of gospel music and named Uncle Ato’s Mensuro as his favorite. He went on, “I also adore Daddy Lumba.” “I appreciate listening to Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, but I love all good music.” Speaking on Shatta Wale’s impact on the music business, Akpaloo commended the performer for his ability to maintain its vibrancy, saying, “Shatta understands the job; he knows how to make the industry active.” For me, it’s more than just controversy. He gets people talking, and the industry benefits from it.
According to Akpaloo, controversy plays an essential role in an artist’s visibility.
“Controversy doesn’t bother Shatta Wale; it makes him money,” he stated. He went on to say that it is challenging for the media to concentrate only on good news because people are frequently drawn to stories with a twist.
