Ghana’s Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has praised rising boxer Theophilus Allotey following his impressive victory at the Legacy Rise promotion.
Speaking after hosting the boxer and his team, the Minister described Allotey’s steady rise from a national champion to a holder of both WBO Global and WBO Africa titles as a testament to discipline, consistency, and hard work. He noted that the Ghanaian fighter’s growing reputation on the global stage reflects his commitment and potential to reach even greater heights.
Adams emphasized that Allotey’s progress is not by chance, urging the boxer to remain focused and continue working diligently as he prepares for tougher challenges ahead. He added that Ghana possesses abundant boxing talent, but success depends on improved structure, support, and the right developmental environment.
The Minister also revealed that he has made a personal financial contribution toward Allotey’s training and assured that the Ministry will continue to explore ways to support his career.
He encouraged the boxer to stay disciplined, trust the process, and heed his coaches, reaffirming that Ghana stands firmly behind him.
