Love was in the air at Kwabena Kwabena’s “Aso @ 20” celebration, but for King Promise, the conversation quickly turned to something deeper than romance.
While speaking to GhanaWeb’s Patience Adu at the Palms Convention, the award-winning singer made it clear that in his world, respect is not up for negotiation. For him, it is the foundation that holds any relationship together, and without it, nothing else matters.
“I don’t compromise on respect. I believe in respect over everything,” he said when asked to name his red flag in a relationship.
The moment was not only about personal values. King Promise also took time to show appreciation to Kwabena Kwabena for granting him permission to sample the timeless track “Aso” on his hit single “Favourite Story,” a collaboration that resonated strongly with fans.
“It’s Vals Day, we are celebrating love and I want to say thank you to Kwabena Kwabena for allowing me to sample the song. He’s a great man and needs to be celebrated.
“The fans, the turnout, the vibe — the vibe is crazy. You understand what I am saying. Shout out to everyone. The fans, keep supporting,” he added.
