Ghanaian gospel musician and songwriter, MOG, has publicly endorsed Afrobeats star King Promise for the Artiste of the Year award at the 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).

Speaking in an interview with GhanaWeb’s Isaac Dadzie, the “Be Lifted” hitmaker expressed his admiration for King Promise’s musical journey and consistency, stating that it is time the artiste receives the topmost recognition in the industry.

“For Artiste of the Year, I want to see King Promise finally getting recognised. I have always felt like King Promise deserves something great. When I think broadly on our industry, I think he deserves something special tonight,” he said.

MOG Music’s endorsement of the Afrobeats musician comes just hours before the anticipated awards night, which is scheduled to take place on May 10, 2025, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre.

King Promise is in the running alongside other major acts including Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Kweku Smoke, Joe Mettle, and Team Eternity Ghana.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards is the arguably the biggest music awards scheme in Ghana which celebrates outstanding achievements in the Ghanaian music industry.
