A man is fighting for his life after being king-hit and knocked unconscious on one of Sydney’s busiest party strips.
Members of the public performed CPR on the man, 26, in the middle of Enmore St in Newtown, inner-west Sydney, following the attack at about 11pm on Wednesday.
Paramedics arrived at the scene in four minutes and began treating the man for serious head injuries.
He was rushed to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a critical condition.
It’s believed a group of more than two people were involved in the violent assault.
Shocking photos from the scene showed emergency services working to save the 26-year-old’s life in the middle of the road.
Traffic was blocked in both directions.
Police established a crime scene and will investigate the incident.
