Head coach of the Black Queens, Kim Lars Björkegren, has announced a full-strength 24-player squad for Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies against Côte d’Ivoire on May 30 and June 3, 2025.
These games will aid the team’s preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled to run from July 5 to July 26, 2025.
The squad features the core group from last month’s doubleheader against Senegal, with a few fresh faces earning their first senior national team call-ups.
Nancy Amoh of Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Afi Amenyaku, goalkeeper for Northern Ladies, have both received maiden invitations after impressing the technical team during a recent training camp at the GFA Technical Center in Prampram.
Also earning first-time call-ups are Abigail Kofi Kim of Ankara BB Fomget and former Black Princesses defender Louisa Animwaa of Valadares.
Meanwhile, Grace Acheampong (TP Mazembe) and Alice Kusi (Al Ahli) return to the squad after absences.
The two friendlies against Les Éléphants will serve as key tune-ups as Ghana targets continental glory in Morocco this July.
