Chiormaster, a member of the now-defunct music group, Praye, has blamed their former manager, Kiki Banson, for the group’s breakup.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on June 19, 2025, Choirmaster said Kiki Banson played a role in the group’s downfall.

According to him, the manager did not make any real contributions to the growth of the group.

He explained that before Kiki came on board, Praye was already doing well in the music industry.

He noted that their song Angelina was already banging on the street, and the group had released several other projects.

In their estimation, they believed that bringing Kiki Banson would take them to a whole new level but things did not go as planned.

“Kiki was the reason behind the downfall of the group, Praye. He did not contribute any tangible work to support the group. Praye was already loud before he joined; we had Angelina banging on the street and other projects,” Choirmaster stated.

He said the group had high hopes when Kiki joined as manager, thinking he would work hard and help them grow bigger, but he let them down.

“When we met Kiki, we had high hopes, believing he would work hard to advance the group. However, we were disappointed, as he turned out to be the opposite of what we expected,” he said.

Choirmaster went on to say that things started going downhill after Kiki began managing the group.

Even though the group was already doing well, he believes Kiki’s lack of effort caused them to lose momentum.

“Before he joined us, we were already making progress, but after bringing him on board, we began to decline. He was expected to put in effort, especially since many people, including us, believed in him. However, he failed to elevate the group as we had hoped,” he added.
