It was a heartwarming scene at this year’s Flora Tissues Atinka Kids Dance Season 3 Grand Finale when Ghanaian musician Kay9ice took a break from his performance to recognise a young fan who had the crowd cheering.
While performing his hit song Pema, Kay9ice spotted a little girl in the audience dancing with infectious energy and confidence, and making similar moves used as the official dance challenge.
The moment was too powerful to ignore, and in a surprise move, Kay9ice called the girl up on stage, praised her, and gifted her money on the spot.
The crowd erupted with applause as the young girl’s look was filled with joy, and the appreciation from the artist himself.
The viral video of the encounter is quickly gaining traction, with many calling it one of the most touching moments from the event this year.
Entertainment pundits have praised Kay9ice for his humility and support for the young fan, questioning if he will also finance the little girl’s tuition fees to the University like Wendy Shay, a colleague in the industry, did.
