MP for Bekwai Constituency, Ralph Poku-Adusei
The Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency, Ralph Poku-Adusei, has paid a glowing tribute to Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo, popularly known as Kantanka, following his death on September 14, 2025.
In a statement, the MP described the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission as a “remarkable individual” whose legacy of innovation, philanthropy, and faith left an indelible mark on the constituency and Ghana.
“Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo was indeed the African Star. His passing has created a void not only in the lives of his family but also in our constituency and the entire nation. He lived a life of purpose, dedication, and service to humanity,” Poku-Adusei said.
Extending condolences to Apostle Safo’s children and the global Kristo Asafo Mission, the MP also expressed solidarity with the Aduana family of Essumeja in Bekwai, noting that the community had lost a great son whose contributions to development were “immeasurable.”

He hailed Apostle Safo as a pioneer of technological innovation through the Kantanka brand, inspiring a new generation of inventors and engineers across Ghana and beyond.
Ralph Poku-Adusei further praised Apostle Safo’s philanthropy, which he noted provided jobs, empowered youth with skills, and offered hope to countless families.
“As the founder and leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission, his deep commitment to spreading the Gospel and serving humanity will forever be remembered. His was a life well lived,” he stated.
The MP said Apostle Safo’s life embodied this truth of leaving a legacy to endure for generations.
He urged Ghanaians to celebrate the late industrialist as a “gallant son of Ghana” whose impact transcended borders.
Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo, revered for his technological ingenuity, philanthropy, and ministry, passed away at age 76, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and service.
