Kamaldeen Sulemana is heading back to second-tier football after Southampton got evicted from the English Premier League on Sunday, 6 April 2025 with seven matches to spare.

The Ghana international played the entire duration of their 3-1 defeat at Tottenham Hotspur which sealed their fate.

The Saints have struggled all season and have been rooted to the bottom of the league table since early November, having won just one of their 20 fixtures.

Sulemana has been one of the impressive players for Southampton this term with one goal in 19 league appearances.

The former Right to Dream Academy player moved to St Mary’s Stadium in January 2023 from French side Rennes, where he made 34 league appearances, scored five goals and provided two assists.
