The JoyNews-Republic Bank Habitat Fair 2026 is close to ending at the Achimota Retail Centre, after three days of conversations, exhibitions and practical opportunities for people looking to build, buy, finance or improve their homes.

The final day of the mini-fair on Sunday, August 23, attracted patrons who moved from stand to stand, engaging exhibitors and exploring solutions across Ghana’s housing and construction sector.

Held under the theme “Dream it. Explore it. Own it,” the fair was designed to take homeownership beyond aspiration by putting prospective homeowners in direct contact with businesses and professionals who could help them take the next step.

From building materials and construction solutions to home financing, property development, furnishing and home improvement, exhibitors used the three-day event to showcase products and services while responding to questions from visitors.

For many patrons, the experience was as much about getting answers as it was about looking at products.

Visitors had the opportunity to compare options, speak directly with industry players, and better understand some of the decisions involved in building or owning a home.

The strong interest continued through the weekend despite intermittent rain in Accra on Saturday and Sunday, with patrons still making their way to the fairgrounds to engage exhibitors.

The fair brought together a range of companies and service providers across the housing value chain, including Akwaaba Building Materials, Lesh Fortune Ltd, MTN, Door Masters, Ayuda, Western Vilas, CTECHI Ghana LTD, Saint-Gobain Ghana, Sintex Tank, Interplast and Clifton Homes.

The initiative was organised in partnership with Republic Bank, under its brand promise “We’re the one for you!”, and powered by Drive EV GH.

As the exhibition comes to an end, the emphasis remains on helping prospective homeowners move from simply imagining the home they want to practical decisions about how to achieve it.

For some visitors, that could mean finding the right building materials. For others, it could mean understanding financing options, exploring property opportunities or identifying professionals who can help turn an idea into a plan.

That practical connection between the dream of owning a home and the steps required to achieve it has been at the heart of the 2026 Habitat Fair.

The conversations started at the fair are expected to continue in homes, offices, construction sites and financial institutions, where many of the decisions about Ghana’s next generation of homes will ultimately be made.
